Join Kobie Brown and Nat Darwell for a 3 hour immersive experience, where we dissect and explore Handstands.

Sunday August 31st

12pm-3pm

Designed for all levels, this workshop provides structured, progressive instruction, tailored to your experience and goals. Whether you would like to start building a solid foundation, or refine existing technique, this workshop will provide the perfect learning environment for study and practice.

With two facilitators, our small-group setting ensures personalized feedback and focused guidance.

WHAT TO EXPECT :

12pm : Arrive and Introduction

12:15pm - 1:15pm : 60 minute Handstand focused yoga practice. In this class we will prioritize hand, wrist and core preparation, working on alignment, control and strength, in preparation for handstand focused drills that will follow.

1:15pm : bathroom/hydrate break

1:30pm - 2:45pm : Handstand Lab. This will be an interactive workshop style experience where we focus on hanstands in more detail through drills, demonstations, and exploration.

2:45pm : Cool down

3:00pm : Finish

WHAT WE WILL COVER :

  • Strength and Mobility

  • Injury prevention through Foundation building

  • Alignment Principles for structural efficiency

  • Entry Techniques including the kick up, straddle, tuck jumps & press

  • Wall Drills for confidence and inversion familiarity

  • Balance Development with key methods to stay up longer

  • The role of the hands in Free Standing Handstands

  • Spotting Techniques and safe partner assistance

WHAT TO BRING

Come along like you were attending a regular yoga class. Bring a water bottle and optional light snack for intermission.
